Steps for Using Heat Shrink Boot

1. Product Selection and Inspection

• Select the model and specification of Heat Shrink Boots according to requirements.
• Inspect the appearance: the surface must be smooth and free of defects, the ports should have no gaps, and the size must meet the requirements.

2. Pre-treatment

• Confirm the construction location, and polish and clean the location.
• If using Heat Shrink Boot without pre-applied adhesive, wrap 2-3 layers of hot-melt tape around the construction location.

3. Heating and Shrinking

• Slide the Heat Shrink Boots onto the construction location.
• Use a heat gun to start heating from the large port to fix the boots, then move the heat gun in a 360° spiral direction towards the small port for heating.
• Continue heating until the small port is fully shrunk, and the inner hot-melt adhesive melts and overflows.

4. Cooling

• Allow the cable to cool down to room temperature naturally before moving it.
• If quick movement is required, use a damp cloth to assist in cooling until it reaches room temperature.

5. Quality Inspection

• Both ends of the Heat Shrinkable Boot must be tightly wrapped around the application area, with hot-melt adhesive overflowing from the ends.
• There should be no gaps, bubbles, cracks or aging phenomena.
